The woman admitted to having committed the murder of her parents.
A woman has taken responsibility for the murders of her parents following the discovery of their remains at their house.
June 17th and 20th, 2019, Virginia McCullough, 36, admitted to killing her parents, who were 71 and 70 years old.
The daughter allegedly attacked her mother after poisoning her father with prescription drugs, according to Essex Police.
In October, at Chelmsford Crown Court, McCullough, who lives at Pump Hill in Great Baddow, not far from Chelmsford, will be jailed.
Police initially attended McCullough’s address on 13 September 2023 following concerns for the welfare of Mr and Mrs McCullough, who were missing.
The defendant appeared at the brief hearing earlier via video link from HMP Peterborough.
Judge Christopher Morgan remanded her in custody ahead of the sentencing.
“Consideration, however, has to be given to the minimum term.”
According to McCullough’s confession, she kept living at the address even after she hid her parents’ bodies there.
Essex Police stated in a statement that she subsequently lied to doctors and relatives about their whereabouts, claiming that they were sick, on vacation, or on long excursions.
The primary care physicians of McCullough’s parents reported her for missing appointments, which led to her capture.
