UK music needs ‘the next Zayn’, says Simon Cowell
A musical sensation named “the next Zayn” has Simon Cowell’s attention.
“The amount of UK artists breaking globally has fallen,” according to the host of The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent.
Simon believes that being part of a group can help artists achieve their own goals, and these beliefs have prompted him to begin searching for the next major UK boyband.
As a solo artist, Zayn has had an effect worldwide, particularly in the United States and among South Asian populations. He first gained fame as a member of One Direction, a group formed on The X Factor in 2010. The Pillowtalk singer has subsequently won numerous honors.
“For some reason, in the last ten or twelve years, there hasn’t been one [boyband] from the UK which is crazy,” Simon said to Haroon Rashid of the
“I’ve always said to young people if you can get your mates together and form a band, it will give you a better shot.”Instead of simply publishing your own content. The internet music industry is quite competitive for solo artists at the moment.
Over the weekend, Simon will hold auditions in Liverpool for a Netflix show that will chronicle his search. He also has tryouts planned for Dublin and London.
There wasn’t a mad dash of individuals in Liverpool’s wait, just a steady stream of aspirants who were sure of their prospects.

The music tycoon thinks that British artists are “fallen off a cliff” when they go global.
Corbin Kelly, a Scotsman who aims to “pursue my dream of being a pop star,” was one of these.
According to the 16-year-old, who spoke to Newsbeat, he aspires to be just like Harry Styles, a major admirer of 1D.
Arenas are my playground. My dream is to have an audience and create music videos.
That was a concept that others had as well.
Along with his parents, Freddie Sullivan also travelled from Hertfordshire.
With his guitar in hand, the 15-year-old expressed his desire to succeed.
His musical heroes are Oasis, The Royston Club, and the Arctic Monkeys.
As long as there is unadulterated skill, I’m happy. It’s not manufactured. “My biggest dream would be to be standing at Wembley, and hear the crowd sing my song back to me.”
With a brown guitar case slung over his shoulder, Freddie, garbed in a black jumper and a white t-shirt, grinned.
Several hopefuls, including Freddie, braved the weather in Liverpool.
Simon also shared that Zayn had trouble controlling her nerves at first, but that she “conquered” them.
Western and South Asian audiences have been captivated by the British Asian artist’s breakthrough.
Even Savan Kotecha is eager to uncover that during his search.
Joining the team, the producer and composer expressed “a personal stake” in discovering artists from South Asian backgrounds.
The fact that Zayn is Pakistani was one of the reasons Savan, who is originally from Gujarat, India, became associated with One Direction, he told Newsbeat.
“The safest path is to be a doctor.”
Hits written by Savan include “What Makes You Beautiful” (about his wife) by 1D, “One Last Time” (about Ariana Grande), and “Can’t Feel My Face” (about The Weeknd) by The Weeknd.
Starting with an anecdote about his time in a high school band in the US and “secretly” mailing a demo tape to a record label in order to avoid his family’s disapproval, he reminisces about his journey into the industry.
“I remember getting a call [from the label] and he said ‘I like your song and everything’,” he added.
“[But] he goes ‘No girl in Wisconsin will put an Indian guy on her wall, you should just be a songwriter’.”To this day, that has been a constant in my life.

“Being the sort of only Indian coming in the music business, I missed having that community and representation,” according to Savan.
Savan, who has been around for a while and seen the industry change, is hoping to encourage more young South Asians to pursue music careers.
The creative sectors are still not widely followed by them, thus there are obstacles to overcome.
The most obvious reason people tell you to become a doctor is that it’s a safe profession. Savan stated that they observe instances of such in our culture.
It is doable, and we should urge parents to let their children express themselves creatively. I am a prime illustration of that.At this stage in my career, I am committed to doing my best to portray the 17-year-old version of myself.
According to him, “unless people can start young,” “getting our version of Beyoncé and Michael Jackson” is not feasible.
There has always been a lot of talent in the UK, so boy and girl groups have thrived there. Now is a fantastic moment to do it, because they’re about so much more than simply pop music. Creating a sense of belonging is important to me.
