Search for missing 14-year-old kid leads to discovery of body

The Merseyside Police Department reported that the coastguard found a body off New Brighton on Monday evening.
The police stated they are in contact with Daniel Halliday’s family even though the body has not been properly identified.
The distance between Crosby and New Brighton, as measured by road, is slightly more than ten miles (16 kilometers), although the beaches of each town are located on opposite sides of the mouth of the River Mersey.
