Tragic Bebe King of Southport laid to rest at funeral.
The youngest of the three girls killed in the Southport knife assault, Bebe King, was buried.
On July 29, a Taylor Swift-themed dancing class in Merseyside killed a six-year-old, seven-year-old Elsie and nine-year-old Alice.
Genie, Bebe’s nine-year-old sister, saw the attack but got away unscathed, according to her parents.
At the Southport funeral, subsequently the family gently requested that attendees respect their privacy and light a candle in her honor.
Lauren and Ben King called their daughter Bebe a “sweet, kind, and spirited girl” full of love and enthusiasm.
Although Genie had demonstrated “incredible strength and courage” , along with: “Her resilience is a testament to the love and bond she shared with her little sister, and we will continue to support her as we navigate this painful journey together as a family.”
Support from the community and emergency services had “deeply touched our hearts,” Mr. and Mrs. King said, adding their gratitude to the list of recipients.
“Today is the funeral of Bebe King,” said Southport MP Patrick Hurley in a social media post. As they go through this tough time, please know that her family is in my prayers and thoughts. In keeping with their desires for a private funeral, I ask that those who wish to pay their respects light a candle in memory of Bebe and make an effort to improve the world.
Last Sunday, Southport was the site of Alice da Silva Aguiar’s funeral.
