Shootings near the West Bank-Jordan border kill three Israelis.
An assault near the Jordan-occupied West Bank border has reportedly killed three persons, according to Israeli authorities.
The gunfire at the Allenby Bridge crossing killed three Israeli citizens, according to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF).
According to the IDF, the assailant arrived in the area via Jordan in a truck, stepped out, and began firing.
IDF is searching the vehicle for evidence of explosives, and security officers have “eliminated” the gunman, according to a statement.
The assailant approached the terminal, pulled the trigger three times, and was shot by Israeli security agents, the tape shows.
Israeli media said that medics identified the three victims as males in their 50s.
Jordan has sealed borders and is investigating, which occurred at an Israeli-controlled area where Jordanian vehicles dump West Bank supplies.
According to the Israel Airports Authority, all land crossings between Israel and Jordan have also been secured following the incident.
Upon launching a cabinet meeting, Benjamin Netanyahu, prime minister of Israel, expressed his sympathies to the relatives of the victims and described it as a challenging day.

The sole official crossing point between the West Bank and Jordan is the crossing, which is also called the King Hussein Bridge. It is located approximately midway between Amman and Jerusalem.
Additionally, it is the sole gateway to the West Bank that bypasses Israel.
Israeli forces have reportedly increased their military presence at the border, according to Jordan’s state-run news agency Petra.
Since Hamas’s attack on Israel and the subsequent conflict in Gaza on October 7, more than 600 Palestinians have been killed in a spike of violence in the West Bank, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
Israeli forces completed a massive nine-day operation in Jenin city and its refugee camp last week, vacating the territory in the West Bank. There are some 60,000 civilians living in the region, but it is also a stronghold for insurgents.
